Stop Making Sense

40th Anniversary Celebration of the Talking Heads Concert Film (Screening and Pre-show Party)
Ticket sales ended for this event.

Celebrate the 40th anniversary of what many critics consider to be the greatest concert film of all time: Stop Making Sense. Newly restored in 4K, the 1984 film features an iconic performance by the rock band Talking Heads, directed by renowned filmmaker Jonathan Demme. The film stars core band members David Byrne, Tina Weymouth, Chris Frantz, and Jerry Harrison along with Bernie Worrell, Alex Weir, Steve Scales, Lynn Mabry, and Edna Holt. The live performance was shot over the course of three nights at Hollywood’s Pantages Theater in December of 1983 and features Talking Heads’ most memorable songs.

Pre-Show Party (6:30pm)

Join us before the screening in our outdoor plaza for a Talking Heads inspired listening and dance party! There will be an outdoor bar to purchase wine, beer, and snacks, and plenty of space to spread out with a picnic blanket or get up and dance. You are welcome to bring your own food.

Please note: food and drinks will not be allowed in the theatre during the screening.
